Dear Reader,
So often in the lawyering business, we don't get a chance to move the ball forward, to truly help someone make a better life. We recently got a chance to do just that: To help a woman keep her daughter and grandkids in their family home. As these stories often go, this one has Countrywide Lending at its core. When the woman agreed to help out her daughter and sign for a mortgage, the payments were supposed to be $1,500 per month. When the payments jumped by $300 per week to $2,700 per month, the house went into foreclosure. Tragedies like this are happening all over the country. At Michael A. Robinson P.C., we are now fighting back for our clients. Two of the local papers put our case on the front page. You can read it here. Michael A. Robinson is a general practice attorney who has been practicing in Douglas County, Colorado for 20 years. His practice has changed over time because of the needs of his local clients. In order to best serve their needs, Mike keeps abreast of current events, the law and changes to the law. In particular interest to Mike as of late is the foreclosure crisis and what this is doing to the fabric of our community. The laws have been changed which just became active in January of this year. These changes affect your rights. Please contact our office if there are questions or concerns you have regarding foreclosure or any other of Mike's general practice areas. ![]() In foreclosure or think it might be coming soon? Please take a moment to take a look at our new website which is dedicated just to this current problem. www.blockcoloradoforeclosure.com Many of our local clients enjoy making an appointment and meeting face to face with an attorney. But, we are finding that there are a number of people who due to a busy work schedule, lifestyle and family demands, or the high price of fuel, enjoy, whenever possible, meeting by email or fax. We have been successfully making this possible to serve your needs by our E-appointment process. Download a fillable new client form and get started! Sincerely, Mike Robinson |
